We live
each of our days shrouded by a veil of shallowness, surrounded by slogans of
different parties which hide the truth and steer away the critical thinking
towards a more comfortable and /or easier direction.
Overwhelmed
by more or less pleasant distractions which drive us astray, maybe, from what
should be considered important.
Being fascinated
by the creativity and instrumental skills of others, I think most of us have
lost the capacity to observe the details.
Many do
not know right from wrong anymore.
In this
way, the subjectivity of the mind gets constantly drugged by tens, hundreds if
not thousands of news and pictures with the only goal of manipulating the mind.
We are
an army of pundits and know-it-alls with an altered way of thinking often stuck
on basic notions or with little knowledge of subjects which would need and all
life study.
And with
this awareness of being part of this world that I walk away, away from
distractions, away from people, looking around trying to catch every detail of
the landscape surrounding me.
During
one of the many walks, I saw a tree, naked, insignificant, in the middle of a
field which light filled with only one colour.
I waited
until the rotation of the earth gave a new face to the scene.
Just
before sunset, light rised from the ground covering the ground of a dark cloak.
The Barren
tree top, hit by the sun light, gained a new brightness setting itself apart
from the rest of the world.
Only a
few minutes of pure limelight and, deep again in the shadow, part of an
insignificant landscape , from which, however it cannot depart.
